"Hot Country Nights"
Monday-Friday 6pm-12am

I've been in radio on and off since 2001.  I was born in Providence, RI and moved around a lot.  I landed in the Ozarks in the early 90's.  Graduating from West Plains High School I left the world of Fast Food and moved into radio at KDY's sister station Ozark Regional Newstalk Radio.  After leaving the network to attend school at Missouri Western University, I returned to the Ozark Radio Network joining The Classic Rock Station Q94 and after an 8 month internship with the Walt Disney Company, I joined the KDY staff in the Spring of '04 and then again in December of '05.

Coolest Trip: Studying abroad in Ireland for a month.

Organizations: Tau Kappa Epsilon - Xi Eta Chapter

Free Time: WOW, Concerts, Football, Hanging Out at local resturants

"The KDY 3rd Shift"
Monday-Friday 12am-6am

I was born October 19, 1966 and began my lifelong dream of a radio career in 1987.  I grew up in Birch Tree area and now live in Mountain View.  I graduated from Liberty High School in 1985 and from SMSU in 1995 with a degree in Electronic Media.  I am married to Kathy who was born in Pomona, (not Missouri, but California) and grew up in Bolivar, MO.  We have no children at this time but are in the Adoption process looking forward to going to China in 2008 to get our beautiful girl MaKenna.  I enjoy Texas hold'em, golf, fishing, gigging, watching movies, watching football and playing Fantasy Football.  My favorite team is the Kansas City Chiefs.  I am also one of the biggest music fans you will ever meet, with a love for rock, contemporary christian, standards, classic country, and of course Today's Hot New Country.  Oh, and by the way I LOVE CATS!  My two feline friends are Pringles (May 2006) and Farley (August 2007).  I started working in radio 1987 at KKDY, and am now in my third stint at KDY.  I've worked for the Ozark Radio Network since 1996.  If you would like to contact me by e-mail send it to ed@kkdy.com.

Where do I begin? Actually, here in the Ozarks! I was born and raised in West Plains. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else to call home (family, friends, beautiful scenery- What more could one ask for?). I am currently enrolled at MSU- West Plains and pursuing a degree in secondary education. Music is my first love, although I cannot play a single musical instrument. I enjoy a huge variety of genres; but, I would have to say indie/alternative is my absolute favorite! Bright Eyes, The Pixies, Wilco, and The Flaming Lips are among my favored bands. In my free time I attend concerts every chance I get. Occasionally I will settle in for a good movie! I have always thought Jack Nicholson is the best actor out there. I've been told I'm a little obsessive, with good reason. I have 37 of his films in my collection. Working at KDY has not only taught me a lot about country music but also communicating with a so many different types of people. I am very grateful for the life I lead.

This is everything you need to know about me.  I like long walks on the beach...oops, wrong bio.  I was born in West Plains in 1987 and have lived here my whole life.  I am a graduate of West Plains High School (Class of '06) and I am currently attending MSU - West Plains.  I started at KDY the night after graduation and have loved every minute!  I am a sports fanatic, and ironically the worst athlete you'll ever meet.  I love football, basketball, and baseball.  I'm new to the country world and a few bands have made it into my iPod.  I am a bit of a movie buff, my favorites are "The GodFather", "The Untouchables", "Reservoir Dogs", and "Sin City", basically anything with guns and girls!  I'm fairly active around town, I help the Optimist Club as a Mighty Might Football referee, and have been involved in many Avenue Theatre Productions.  That's about everything, if you'd like to contact me, you can e-mail me at elcamino_87@hotmail.com

Program Director

I was born in California in 1976 and grew up in the small town of Lodi, yes the same Lodi in the Creedance Clearwater Revival song.  I graduated from Escalon High School in 1994 (I can't believe my 10 year reunion is behind me!)  I transplanted myself to West Plains in 1996.  I started at KDY in 2000 and it's been the second best thing that has happened to me.  The best thing was marrying my beautiful wife, Randi.  I love all kinds of music and can't make it through the day without my daily dose of Johnny Cash!  Other than music my favorite hobby is muscle cars...in particular the original and only pony car...The Mustang!  Anytime you want to get in touch with me, send me an email at revroberts@hotmail.com, or visit my Myspace at www.myspace.com/kdy_ryan_roberts
